GRACE Public School & College Hosts Thrilling Annual Sports Gala 2024
Skardu, September 12, 2024 – The GRACE Public School & College burst into vibrant colors, energy, and excitement as students, staff, and parents gathered for the much-anticipated Annual Sports Gala 2024. The event was a celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and school spirit, showcasing the talents of young athletes across all grades.
With the school grounds transformed into a festive sports arena, the day began with a march-past ceremony led by the student house contingents, followed by the lighting of the torch and a powerful oath-taking by the sports captains. The Principal, Mustafa Aqeel in his opening remarks, emphasized the role of sports in developing discipline, resilience, and unity among students.
Events and Highlights
The gala featured a wide range of sports and fun competitions including:
- Track and Field Events: 100m, 200m, relay races, and long jumps kept the audience cheering.
- Team Games: Football, volleyball, and tug-of-war drew massive support from classmates and parents.
- Fun Activities: Sack race, three-legged race, and spoon race added laughter and joy to the event.
- Special Event: A friendly match between teachers and senior students had everyone on their feet.
Students competed with remarkable enthusiasm and sportsmanship. House spirit was at its peak as students cheered on their teams, painted in vibrant house colors and waving banners.
Celebrating Excellence
The event concluded with a colorful medal distribution ceremony, where winners were honored with medals, trophies, and certificates. The Best Athlete Awards were presented to outstanding performers from junior and senior categories. The Principal, along with the Chief Guest from the District Education Department, awarded the Best House Trophy to the house with the highest overall points.
